Boston 10″ Refoam Kit
This kit will fit many Boston 10″ speaker models that have an angled attachment to cone. Check for correct dimensions. These are very unique surrounds because the angled part that attaches to the cone is straight. See close up of the picture to see.
Model #’s include:
-Series 1, series 2 and series 3 of A100, A150, A200. Series 1 and 2 use a paper cone woofer. Series 3 uses a poly cone woofer. Will also fit Boston A120, T930, VR970, VR975, HD10(passive) and many more.
Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair two (2) woofers:
– Refoaming Instructions
– 2 Foam Surrounds
– Shims For Centering the 1.5″ Voice Coils (If selected)
– 2 Screen (thin fabric) Dust Caps (If selected)
– 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated Foam Surround Adhesive. Choose white glue for paper cones or poly glue for poly cone woofers.
*It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 9.5″
B – Roll ends = 9″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 7.5″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 7.06″
