EPI A24 & A2400 Complete Refoam Kit
This is the correct kit that fits on the 12″ woofers and the 6.5″ midranges. The picture is missing parts for 2 of the woofers.
Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair four (4) woofers and two (2) mids:
– Refoaming Instructions
– Two 6.5″ Foam Surrounds (F6-3)
– Four 12″ Foam Surrounds (F12-3)
– Two 2.25″ Screen Dust Caps for the Mids
– Two 3.75″ Screen (thin fabric) Dust Caps for the woofers
– Shims for Centering the 1″ Midrange Voice Coils
– Shims for Centering the 1.5″ Woofer Voice Coils
– One 2 oz Bottle of Specially Formulated Foam Surround Adhesive
*It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.
12″ Woofers
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 11.5″
B – Roll ends = 10.5″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 9.375″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 9″
Angled Attachment to the Cone
6.5″ Midranges
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 5.95″
B – Roll ends = 5.4″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 4.625″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 4.25″
