ADS M12 Rubber Surround Kit
Rubber surrounds will reduce cone break up and ensure low distortion. This kit will fit ADS M12 tower speakers that have two 8″ woofers and one 5.25″ midrange in each cabinet. These surrounds have an angled attachment to the cone.
This Repair Kit includes all the materials needed to repair four (4) woofers and two (2) mids:

– Four 8″ Rubber Surrounds (R8-1)
– Two 5.25″ Rubber Surrounds (R5-2)
– Shims for centering the 1″ voice coils (if selected)
– 6 Dust Caps (if selected)
– 2 Tubes of Specially Formulated Surround Adhesive (strong and sticky)
*It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims in the voice coil gap. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.
R8-1 8″ Woofers:
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 7.7″
B – Roll ends = 7.125″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 5.94″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 5.5″
R5-2 5.25″ Midranges:
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 5.12″
B – Roll ends = 4.65″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 3.86″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 3.54″
