Acoustic Research AR9LSi Complete Speaker Refoam Kit
This is the correct kit that fits on the 12″ front firing woofers, 10″ down firing woofers (Inside of cabinet) and the 8″ mid-bass speakers. This kit is not designed for other AR9 models.
Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed
to repair all 6 drivers:

- Two 10″ Foam Surrounds (F10-5)
- Two 12″ Foam Surrounds (F11-1)
- Shims For Centering the 1.5″ Voice Coils (8″ & 10″)
- Shims For Centering the 2″ Voice Coils (12″ woofers)
- Four 2.75″ Screen (thin fabric) Dust Caps (8″ & 12″)
- Two 2.5″ Polypropylene Dust Caps (10″)
- 1 Big Bottle of Specially Formulated White Foam Surround Adhesive
- 1 Small Bottle of Specially Formulated Black Adhesive for the 2.5″ Poly Dust Caps
*PLEASE READ. It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing. The 10″ woofer uses a 2.5″ rubber dust cap and will probably tear when you try to remove it. The closest replacement dust cap is 2.5″ polypropylene and it works well. The white speaker adhesive is used on the entire kit except when you glue on the new 2.5″ poly dust caps. Use the black glue for these dust caps. The 10″ woofer is inside the cabinet located behind the 12″ woofer. The 12″ woofer has a 2.5″ coated screen dust cap which is not available, so we include 2.75″ non-coated screen dust caps. If you want to seal it, you can brush on a coat of the white glue included with the kit.
12″ Front Woofer
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 10.375″
B – Roll ends = 9.75″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 8.375″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 8″
10″ Down Firing Woofer
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 9.75″
B – Roll ends = 8.875″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 7.75″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 7.125″
8″ Mid-Bass
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 7.625″
B – Roll ends = 7″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 5.875″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 5.25″
