ESS AMT-10b Complete Refoam Kit
This is the correct kit that fits on the ESS AMT-10b speakers that have 10″ woofers in the front and 12″ passive radiators in the back. If your model does not have the passives on the back, see our other listings for the F10-5 surrounds. Use the table below to match up dimensions.
Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair two (2) woofers and two (2) passives:
– Refoaming Instructions
– Two 10″ Foam Surrounds (F10-5) Angled attachment
– Two 12″ Passive Radiators (F12PR)
– Shims for centering the 1.5″ voice coils
– Two 2.75″ Felt Dust Caps
– 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated Black Poly Adhesive (strong & sticky for the poly cones)
– 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated White Adhesive (use on passives and outside of woofer surrounds)
*It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.
10″ Woofers:
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 9.75″
B – Roll ends = 8.875″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 7.75″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 7.125″
12″ Passive Radiators:
Outside Diameter = 11.625″
Disc Diameter (roll starts) = 9.375″
