ESS AMT-1A Refoam Kit (F12-2 & F12PR)
This is the correct kit that fits on the ESS AMT-1A speakers that have paper cone woofers. The ESS AMT-1B, AMT-1C and AMT-1D speakers use polypropylene (plastic) cones and require a different glue.
Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair two (2) woofers and two (2) passives:
– Refoaming Instructions
– Two 12″ Foam Surrounds (F12-2) Flat Attachment
– Two 12″ Passive Radiators (F12PR)
– Shims for centering the 2″ voice coils
– Two 4.5″ Felt Dust Caps
– 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated White Adhesive
*It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.

B – Roll ends = 10.625″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 9.44″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 9″
12″ Passive Radiators
Outside Diameter: 11.625″
Disc Diameter (roll starts): 9.375″
