JBL Radiance R123: Complete Refoam Kit
This is the correct kit that fits on the JBL 305G-1 5″ midrange and the 312G-1 12″ woofer.
Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair two (2) woofers and two (2) midranges:
– Refoaming Instructions
– Two 12″ Foam Surrounds (F12-2)
– Two 5″ Foam Surrounds (F4-2)
– Shims For Centering the Voice Coils for the Woofers
– Two 3.2′” Paper Dust Caps for the Woofers
– 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated Foam Surround Adhesive
– 1 Bottle of Black Dust Cap Glue (To retain the original JBL look)
*It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.

A – Outside diameter of the surround = 11.5″
B – Roll ends = 10.625″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 9.44″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 9″
Flat attachment to cone
5″ Midrange
A – Outside diameter of the surround = 4.5″
B – Roll ends = 4.125″
C – Roll starts / O.D. of the cone = 3.5″
D – Inside diameter of the surround = 3.2″
