Polk 6.5″ Butyl Rubber Surround Kit
Rubber surrounds will reduce cone break up and ensure low distortion. These surrounds have an angled attachment to the cone.

This Repair Kit includes all the materials needed to repair two (2) woofers:
– Repair Instructions
– 2 Rubber Surrounds
– Shims for Centering the 1″ Voice Coils (If Selected)
– 2 Dust Caps (If Selected)
– 1 Tube of Specially Formulated Surround Adhesive (strong and sticky)
*It can be difficult to replace a surround on a woofer without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being repaired. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.
*If you choose to remove the dust cap and shim the voice coil, you can try to re-use the original dust cap or select a new dust cap with the size and style you have. These are the available dust caps, so if you don’t see the exact same choose the closest available. Most older models have the 1.57″ screen dust caps with no lip. The newer replacements have 1.625″ screen dust caps, which are not available. You can use the 1.57″ screen (no lip) or the larger 2.25″ screen (with lip). The MW6500 have the 1.75″ felt dust caps.
