Velodyne 18″ Repair Kit
This kit will fit the Velodyne ULD-18 model only. This is a 18″ subwoofer that originally had a foam surround, but unfortunately a foam surround is not available for this sub anymore, but we have a 2 rib cloth surround that fits nicely on the cone and still functions well.
This Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair one (1) subwoofer:
– Repair Instructions
– 1 18″ Cloth Surround
– 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated Speaker Adhesive (To attach the cloth to the cone & outside frame)
– 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated Surround Latex Dampener (Brush on to the top of surround)
– Brush (To apply the latex to the top of the cloth surround)
*This sub can be difficult to replace the surround because of the servo networks under the dust caps. Therefore, we recommend hand centering this subwoofer instead of shimming the voice coil when replacing the foam surround. When the glue is still tacky you can move the cone up and down. If you feel or hear the voice coil rubbing, just keep moving the cone assembly until it is free of rubbing.

D – Inside diameter of the surround = 13″
